Muscle Strength & Performance Assessment

Measurement of muscular strength and aerobic capacity to support healthy ageing, physical performance and cardiometabolic health.

A clinical fitness and performance assessment designed to measure muscle strength, aerobic fitness and functional capacity.

These metrics are predictors of longevity, metabolic health and long-term physical resilience.

Muscular Strength Testing

• Grip strength measurement as a validated marker of overall strength
• Upper & Lower-limb force assessment
• Identification of strength asymmetries or deficits
• Baseline strength benchmarking

Aerobic Capacity & VO₂ Max

• VO₂ max testing to assess cardiovascular fitness
• Evaluation of aerobic performance capacity
• Identification of cardiovascular limitations
• Benchmarking against age-related performance

Functional Capacity Assessment

• Evaluation of movement and functional strength
• Assessment of mobility and physical resilience
• Identification of factors limiting physical performance
• Baseline functional health assessment

Performance Benchmarking

• Comparison against age- and sex-adjusted norms
• Identification of key areas for improvement
• Objective baseline for tracking progress over time
• Integration into personalised health optimisation plans

Objective Muscle Strength Testing

Measure your baseline, guide your training and track progress over time

Muscle strength is a key marker of functional health, resilience and long-term performance. Using objective muscle testing, we establish a clear baseline so your rehabilitation or training programme can be built around real data rather than guesswork. This helps identify specific areas of weakness, guide targeted exercise prescription and monitor improvement over time, giving you a measurable way to track progress and adapt your plan as your strength, mobility and confidence improve.

How it works

3. Plan

Turn insight into prevention

A personalised strategy is developed to improve strength, aerobic capacity and physical resilience.

2. Analyse

Identify what matters most

All results are reviewed by Dr Angus Perry, identifying areas where improvements in strength, fitness or metabolic health could reduce long-term health risk.

4. Optimise

Measure, adjust and improve

Repeat testing allows progress to be objectively measured and programmes adjusted over time.

1. Assess

Map your baseline

A series of strength and cardiovascular performance tests establish an objective baseline of muscular strength and aerobic capacity.

Take Control of Your Health

Prevent

Perform

Low muscle strength and poor aerobic fitness are strong predictors of disease and mortality, early assessment allows targeted intervention.

Maintain muscle mass, cardiovascular fitness and physical resilience as key foundations of long-term health.

Improve strength, endurance and functional capacity to support performance, energy and healthy ageing.
